Agreed on spec & price for conversion on transit custom. Paid deposit on 16/5/18, van went in 2/7/18. Work promised to be completed 1st week in August 2018 by Paul. Went in to see how things were progressing on 20th August, van still nowhere near completed, no update no calls no emails no apologies for the delay, nothing. During early stage of conversion an alternative carpet lining was initially used, seems they wanted to use what they had in stock rather than what was asked for, (pictures can be provided if necessary). It was stripped out after noticing it was wrong. Upon completion of the carpet lining they went back to using the other lining again (as seems they'd ran out & didn't want to order more in) this was used to finish the job on the rear barn door cards & the roof bed. Upon collection over a month later than promised (sept 2018), there was no small water tank under the sink, holes in the roof carpet lining (near spotlights), table not secure at side of kitchen units & to add insult to injury, Wayne Key made up a price for extra work totalling 395 for connecting an amplifier that when I asked how much this would cost I was told (not much, it's maybe couple hours extra work for the electrician). The van did go back 2 weeks later for these faults to be rectified (carpet lining etc) which they very reluctantly did.An unprofessional experience from start to finish which is such a shame for any customer to experience... Unscrupulous would be a compliment.
From the moment Stan the Van, a VW T6 LWB went into Key Campers for a full conversion we were completely confident we would get a superb job. The advice and service we received was excellent. The quality and attention to detail surpassed our expectation. To say we are pleased with the job they did for us is an understatement. What a great team. No hesitation whatsoever in recommending these guys. We looked at many many converters, went to loads of shows before deciding on Key Campers and even though they are in Hull and we are way down south we absolutely made the right decision.
